Expedition Leader

Original from France, Thierry has a passion for the African Continent. For over more than twenty years he has explored the continent out of the beaten tracks looking for the exceptional, and also leading multiple expeditions. In the middle of nineties he discovers the PPG, at his opinion the Ultimate tool to discover the black continent. He’s a licensed PPG Instructor (French CAA license). With NKP Expeditions, Thierry likes to share with pilots around the world his experiences of a lifetime flying in the African regions, and also likes organising tailored expeditions for TV programs. As a Photographer, he has contributed to national and international publications. He has PPL and micro light aircraft licenses, is a scuba diving instructor and practices others disciplines like Enduro bike. Thierry speaks English, Spanish and French. He now lives in South Africa in a Big Five Game Reserve.

PhD in Conservation & Pilot 

Hassan was born and raised in Kenya. He has over 15 years of conservation management and community development experience in five continents.  Hassan began his career leading a rhino conservation project in the Selous Game Reserve, in Tanzania. Prior to BCP, he was Vice President of Wildlife Works, which achieved the World’s first verified REDD projects. Hassan was also a Partner in Conservation Capital, which catalyzed $210 million of conservation business investments globally. Hassan’s PhD thesis on community-based conservation from the University of Oxford was awarded the Audrey Richards Prize for the best Africanist thesis written over two years from any UK university. He also holds an MSc degree in Environmental Management from Oxford University, and a BA from Middlebury College, in the USA. Hassan is Gazetted as a Honorary Game Warden in Kenya, and as an Honorary Wildlife Police Officer in Zambia, and is a commercial pilot.  Hassan is on the Board of the Baraka Foundation, and is a member of the IUCN Sustainable Use and Livelihoods Specialist Group.  Hassan speaks English, French and Swahili.

Born in South Africa, he has followed his passion for rivers, wildlife and mainly Africa, and decided  to make a lifestyle from something that he really enjoyed. This was back in 1996 after 5 years as a freelance guide on safari, overland and African Rivers. Nowadays he finds himself at the office from time to time and mainly guiding special and atipical river trails & safari tours.

Thor will assure, with one of the game scouts, the safety of the expedition. He was trained by some of the finest professional hunters in Zambia.He has been in the Zambian hunting industry for over 5 years. Thor is a resident Zambian and grew up in the Lower Luangwa valley and has known the area intimately since he was a child. Thor speaks English, Danish, German and the local language “Nsenga” fluently. Thor is also registered as Honorary Wildlife Police Officer with the Zambian Wildlife Authority.
